Features
Twelve things the ward no longer does by hand.
Nurvo covers the whole cycle: planning the month, absorbing absence, recording hours, proving staffing levels and producing the payslip. Below is what each part does — and, in the catalogue further down, every individual capability.
What Nurvo does
Each of these is in the product today. Anything that is not yet built is on the public roadmap instead of on this page.
Automatic monthly roster
You set the planning period and the deadline for shift preferences. Nurvo produces the monthly roster on time, respecting qualifications, working-time accounts and rest periods. Once you approve it, everyone gets their shifts in the app and by email.
AI copilot for exceptional shifts
For short-notice changes: describe the situation in plain language — “late shift tomorrow, two people out on ward 3, no overtime for Sarah”. The copilot finds suitable people and explains why it picked them. Every proposal is checked against working-time law, the collective agreement and the qualified-staff ratio before it is displayed.
Staffing calculation and regulatory record
Required and actual staffing are calculated continuously and shortfalls are marked as they occur. One click produces the regulatory PDF — under the PPBV for hospitals or § 113c SGB XI (PeBeM) for nursing homes.
Monthly shift analysis
A monthly comparison of planned and actual hours. The system identifies the days and shifts where the same gap keeps appearing and proposes concrete changes for the coming roster.
Early warning for overload
Night shifts, overtime and shortened rest periods are tracked continuously. Nurvo signals a sustained build-up in the team early, so absence and turnover can be headed off rather than explained afterwards.
Leave requests in the app
Staff request leave from their phone. Clashes and minimum staffing levels are shown at the moment the request is reviewed, not after it has been granted.
Mobile time tracking
Staff record the start, breaks and end of a shift on their phone. Net working time, break time, night hours and premiums are calculated to statutory requirements.
Qualifications and certificates
Expiry dates for mandatory training and qualifications stay visible. Managers and staff are reminded before a certificate lapses, not after.
Float pool and external agencies
When someone is absent, Nurvo finds cover by qualification, availability and rest period. If the internal team is not enough, the staffing agencies you have on file are asked in a defined order.
Redundant infrastructure
Two independent servers in Germany (Frankfurt am Main). If one fails, the other takes over.
Digital payslips
Payslips are produced and made available digitally under § 108 GewO, tied directly to the recorded shifts and premiums.
Shift preferences, fairly distributed
Staff record their shift preferences in the app. The system takes them into account when planning the month and watches that they are spread evenly across the team.
The full catalogue
Grouped the way a ward uses them rather than the way the software is built.
